Our Services

The Gender Centre boasts of specializing in providing home service for homeless Australian citizens. We render help for clients in this category with no roof over their head or at the risk of losing it. To benefit from this accommodation scheme, an individual must be over the age of 18 years and identify as transgender or in the process of exploring their gender identity. availability.

Anti-violence Project

In response to transgender hostility in Australia. The Anti-violence project kick-started in the year 2011. At the heart of the project is providing support, education, strong advocacy against all manifestations of violence and hostility towards gender diverse people. Essentially, this group seeks to repel attacks against people who embrace unconventional gender Identity.
We provide quality service to transgender and individuals exploring their gender identity. Our counselling service is for everyone. Little wonder why it attends to families of all social standing, client residents in the community, and clients admitted in Gender Centre’s facilities free of charge. Amazing, isn’t it?
Gender Center is particularly concerned about providing means and services that will reduce and stop the challenges experienced by transgender people in the family. Many people suffer various mental and emotional conditions due to their gender expressions and gender identity. These conditions could include sadness, anger, surprise, shock, disappointment, and even fear. This calls for the family to understand that people should be allowed to dress and play the way they feel is right. There should be no pressure on the lifestyle of any member of the family as a result of their gender identity.

Seniors

The support services and attention needed by transgender people to live a happy and healthy life is the essential concern of the Gender Center. These services are created for transgender people who are above the age of 55. This category of people is commonly referred to as seniors.

Outreach

Gender Center provides a number of outreach services. These services are provided to individuals who do not have access to the organization’s services for transgender people. This inaccessibility may be due to some factors such as restriction to one’s home, confinement to a hospital, or any other correctional facilities. The outreach services are the best option for persons facing these challenges.

Youth

Young people, especially, experience many setbacks and stigma due to their diverse-gender status. These challenges result from how they are perceived in the family, society, and the community at large. The unfavourable treatments of transgender individuals in society are responsible for their mental and emotional instability. These harsh treatments have subjected many young people to an unproductive lifestyle.
